Tasting notes

Reviewed by: Antonio Galloni
The 2010 Chablis Les Clos is nicely layered in the glass. Honey, apricot, tangerine and perfumed floral notes take shape in the glass, but the 2010 remains slightly reticent. With time in the glass the wine freshens up nicely. Lime, oyster shells and an assortment of saline-infused aromas and flavors linger on the close. Ideally, the 2010 is best left alone for another year or two, even if it is delicious today.
About the Producer
Jean-Marc Brocard's land began with 1 hectare of vineyards, which his father-in-law grew and made as a wedding present. In 1973, Jean-Marc Brocard chose to settle in Préhy and set up his own Domaine in the middle of the vineyards. recognition. In the mid-1990s, his son Julien Brocard returned to the family estate after graduating with a degree in engineering and started organic and biodynamic farming. Jean-Marc Brocard was also one of the first representatives of organic farming in Bourgogne. The vineyard uses low-impact methods - instead of herbicides, predators (spiders, finches, etc.) instead of pesticides, compost instead of chemical fertilisers, and small amounts of spraying according to the health requirements of the grapes - paired with a philosophy of undisturbed winemaking. Jean-Marc Brocard's wines are unpretentious and pure Chablis.
