The new disgorgement of Lassaigne's emblematic NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Les Vignes de Montgueux is a blend of the 2020, 2019 and 2018 vintages, from vines that range between 45 and 70 years old growing on the slopes of Montgueux. Offering up aromas of pear, crushed mint, bread dough and white flowers, it's medium to full-bodied, vinous and incisive, with a satiny attack that segues into a taut, racy mid-palate, concluding with a pungently saline finish. It's an especially strong rendition.

Jacques Lassaigne is a distinguished winemaker from the Montgueux region of Champagne, known for his exceptional Chardonnay-based wines. The family-owned vineyard spans 4.7 hectares and features prime southeastern exposure, ideal for ripening grapes. This area, historically reserved for the Montrachet of Champagne, showcases a terroir similar to the renowned Côte des Blancs, providing a unique foundation for high-quality sparkling wines. Emmanuel Lassaigne, Jacques' son, has been at the helm since 1999, pioneering innovative techniques that focus on individual vineyard parcels.
