About the Producer

Domaine Henri Prudhon is located in the wine-producing village of Saint-Aubin in the Cote de Beaune, a sub-region of Burgundy in France. A family run winery of high quality. The history of Proudhon & Sons can be traced back to the 1920s. In 1921, Henri Prudhon was born into a family that cultivated grapes and made wine. Deeply influenced by his family, Henri Proudhon was very interested in the cultivation of grapes and wine making. In 1945, Henri married and founded Domaine Henri Prudhon. Henry's second child, Gerard Prudhon (Gerard Prudhon), was deeply influenced by Henry and his wife, so he started to run the family's wine business with Henry. At that time, the Proudon and Sons winery mainly sold grape juice or wine directly to local wine merchants. Until the 1980s, Rihahe decided to bottle at the winery and hold marketing activities directly. At that time, it happened that foreign wine merchants were more interested in the wines produced in the Saint-Aubin region. Proudon and Sons seized this opportunity and successfully pushed their wines to the world market, including the United States, Canada, Germany, countries such as Italy and China. Currently, the Prudhon & Sons winery is run by Rijahe's two children, Vincent Prudhon and Philippe Prudhon. Proudon & Sons has a total area of 14.5 hectares of vineyards, mainly distributed in the regions of St. Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. It also includes a number of first-class gardens. Although the vineyards of Proudon & Sons are scattered, they are generally suitable for the growth of vines. In addition, the winery also adopts many scientific management methods to cultivate vines, such as the Guyot cultivation method; the plant spacing of 1m×1m and the planting density of about 10,000 per hectare, etc.
