About the Producer
Just a few kilometers west of Sancerre lies the small commune of Bué, home to François Crochet, who took over the family estate in 1998. Together with his wife Carine, they cultivate 10.5 hectares of vines across all three principal Sancerre terroirs. François, an innovative winemaker with global experience, produces limited quantities of handcrafted wines known for their precision and refreshing acidity. The vineyards, averaging 30 years in age, are meticulously managed in over thirty parcels, with yields controlled through bud reduction and manual harvesting. Grapes are carefully sorted and pressed to ensure quality, with fermentation occurring in stainless steel tanks before aging in barrels and tanks.
