The 2019 Barolo Brunate shows a linear and quite firm character with dark cherry, rose, crushed flint and balanced spice. The vintage is built tight and strong, and that added textural density bodes well for the wine's future bottle evolution. This is a production of 9,000 bottles.

Notes of sour cherries, dried blood orange, tree bark, red licorice and dried flowers. Full-bodied and structured with firm, sandy tannins. Spicy notes at the end. Try from 2026.

Formerly, this wine was labelled as Cannubbio Critic tasting note: (2016 vintage) "Light ruby core and a tawny rim. Nice intensity on the nose displaying dried rose, cherry, red berries, fine praline, tobacco with plenty of dry spices and discreet notes of wood. The palate is ample, fresh and complex with nice layers of sweet red fruit with a bold spiciness, still youthful but ripe tannins adding lift and structure, very floral red fruit on the finish. Persistent, powerful and lingering flavours that despite the wine´s relative youth have plenty of nuance." - 95/100, Andreas Larsson - Tasted
