Assistant Poe Château Rayas owner Jacques Reynaud unexpectedly passed away in 1997, transferring management to his nephew Emmanuel, who had been running Château des Tours since 1989. Now, Emmanuel Reynaud oversees three estates: Château Rayas, Château des Tours, and Domaine des Tours. The winemaking quality has remained seamless through this transition. These estates are regarded as mythical in the southern Rhône region. Emmanuel is selective about visits, adding an air of mystery. If you haven't tasted Emmanuel Reynaud's wines, you haven't fully experienced southern Rhône wines. Château Rayas is not just a true cult wine; it represents the pinnacle of the region. Château des Tours Vacqueyras blends about 95% Grenache and 5% Syrah from the best fruit. Emmanuel's wines can redefine your perception of southern Rhône wines.
