About the Producer
Elodie Roy hails from a winemaking family in Cheilly-les-Maranges, where her family sold wine to merchants. Initially uninterested in winemaking, she studied law and worked in banking. However, drawn back to wine, she left her banking job to study winemaking and spent 11 years at Domaine Anne Gros in Burgundy. In 2018, at age 38, she took over her family estate and established Domaine Elodie Roy, marking her first vintage. The 9.7-hectare vineyard, including a 70-year-old plot planted by her grandfather, flourished under her parents' care. Her wines have received praise for their elegance and precision, with a notable review from Wine Advocate. Elodie employs 30-40% whole bunch fermentation and uses Damy oak barrels, resulting in refined, juicy wines that resonate with modern sophistication.
