About the Producer
Raymond Dupont-Fahn has made significant strides in producing exceptional wines since taking over the family domaine in Tailly, Meursault. Managing 10 hectares across Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, and Auxey-Duresses, he focuses on individual vinification of various lieux-dits, showcasing their unique characteristics. Notably, the Bourgogne “Chaumes des Perrieres,” a declassified Meursault, remains a highlight despite its downgrade due to local protests over topsoil modifications made by his grandfather in 1975. Under Raymond's management, the use of new oak has been reduced from 40% to 10%, and he practices sustainable viticulture by avoiding pesticides and harvesting earlier for better acidity and lower alcohol levels. His wines are celebrated for their balance and precision, reflecting the terroir beautifully.
