I was surprised to see a hint of amber on the edge of the otherwise medium-to-dark ruby-colored 1997 Clos de Vougeot. Its opulent full-bodied personality is crammed with sweet red cherries, tar, blackberry jam, juniper berries, and cloves. Its extraordinarily long finish displays copious round, ripe, and supple tannins. Projected maturity: 2006-2010+.

The 1997 Clos Vougeot has a medium to dark ruby color and over-ripe mixed fruit aromas. Oily textured, unbelievably dense, broad, sweet, and full-bodied, this cherry and blackberry- flavored blockbuster has untold intensity and power. Almost candied and jellied, it saturates the palate with jammy fruit. Drink this hedonistic wine over the next 8-10 years. Lehua is a top-level famous chateau in Burgundy. It has been able to compete with another top-level chateau in Burgundy, DRC, in just over 30 years since its establishment. Le Hua's products have always been valuable in the market. They have long been frequent buyers of Sotheby's wine auctions, and they are also the dream products of many wine collectors. The vineyards owned by Leroy are distributed in 26 legal production areas, subdivided into 46 sub-vineyards, with a total area of 22 hectares. The annual output of omaine Leroy wines of all levels is only 35,000 to 45,000 bottles.
