In 2003, siblings Alix and Étienne de Montille founded the micro-négociant DEux Montilles, aiming to produce primarily white wines from reputable growers in the Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise, complementing the red-dominant holdings of Domaine de Montille. As children of Volnay legend Hubert de Montille, they bring rich winemaking heritage and independent accomplishments to the venture—Étienne manages the family estate and Château de Puligny-Montrachet, while Alix leverages her extensive experience in white Burgundy. By sourcing fruit from trusted growers and maintaining rigorous standards, DEux Montille crafts wines that showcase purity, moderate alcohol, and a mineral-driven texture aligned with their family’s legacy.
