Tasting notes

The 2010 William Deutz Parcelles d'Aÿ is the most tightly wound wine in this range. Green apple, lemon peel and white flowers add brightness, but on the palate the wine is extremely unyielding. I would prefer to cellar the 2010 for at least a few years. There is not much pleasure to be had today.

Deutz’s 2010 Brut Parcelles d’Aÿ is a gorgeous 100% Pinot Noir that expresses the natural creaminess of Aÿ and the Duetz house style. Pear, citrus, baked apple, white flowers, almonds and light pastry notes are all vivid. The bright, finely sketched style imbues the 2010 with notable energy and a level of pure vibrancy that will make it hard to resist, even on the young side.
