Domaine Daniel Bocquenet This very small, 4 hectare domaine was begun by Marcel Bocquenet and has been run for the last 15 years or so by his son Daniel.Daniel has always lamented the fact that the 4 hectares provide just enough to live on, but not enough to employ any permanent help, nor to finance the purchase of more vineyard land (prices of which have been driven relentlessly upwards, and beyond the reach of growers such as the Bocquenets by outside investors). Daniel has somewhat ominously talked about retirement – which may make 2010 his last vintage. We hope that he may continue making his fabulous wines for a few more years yet.
