About the Producer
Weingut Bernhard Huber is located in the Breisgau region of Baden, Germany. The winery was still just a cooperative until 1987, before it started producing its own wine. The owners are Barbara and Bernhard Huber. They introduced Pinot Noir to Malterdingen in the 14th century. The vineyards of Chateau Yubo are scattered in many places, covering an area of more than 26 hectares, and planting a variety of grape varieties, such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Auxerre Auxerrois, Freisamer, Muscat, Muller-Thurgau, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In addition, the winery also purchases some grape varieties. In terms of winemaking, Yubo Winery mainly produces dry wines, and the best red wines need to be aged in oak barrels for 18 months; the top wines, including Pinot Noir, are marked with a variety of “reserved” wines. "(Reserve) and "Old Vines" (Old Vines) of Pinot Noir and so on. In addition, the blended white wine produced by the winery is also quite good, such as 2010 Breisgau Malterdingen Bienenberg Müller-Thurgau QbA Dry 2005, 2007 Breisgau Malterdingen Bienenberg Muskateller Kabinett and so on. Yubo Winery is also a member of the German VDP Association.
