About the Producer
Domaine Antoine Jobard is located in the Meursault appellation of Cote de Beaune, Burgundy, France. It is one of the best wineries in the appellation region, mainly producing Chardonnay white wine. Jobard Winery was established in the 1970s by the Jobard family. It is now run by Antoine Jobard, son of Francois Jobard. The Jobard winery has several vineyards, mainly in Meursault, Saint-Aubin Wine and Puligny-Montrachet, with a total area of 6.51 hectares. The upper layer of soil in the garden is clay and the lower layer is limestone. The grapes are grown organically, the viticulture adopts Guyot and Royat systems, and the average age of the vines is 35 years. Meursault's first-class gardens include Blagny, Charmes, Genevrieres and Poruzots. Among them, 0.5 hectares of Chardonnay with an average age of 27 years are planted in Blarney Garden; 0.26 hectares of Chardonnay with an average age of 25 years are planted in Charmes Garden; 0.79 hectares of Chardonnay with an average age of 32 years are planted in Poluzzo Garden. Meursault village vineyards include En la Barre and Les Tillets. Among them, 1.62 hectares of Chardonnay with an average age of 38 years are planted in La Barry Garden; 0.66 hectares of Chardonnay with an average age of 29 years are planted in Taylor Garden with a higher altitude and stony soil. The vineyards of Priny-Monjachet include the village-level Le Trezin and the first-class Les Champs-Gains. Terezin, on a steep hillside above Hameau de Blagny, produces 'textbook typical' Prinny wines with clean lines and fine tannins; Champagne 0.13 hectares of old vine Chardonnay with an average age of nearly 60 years is planted. The first crus of Saint-Aubin plant 0.4 hectares of Chardonnay with an average age of 25 years. Herbeaux, En l'Ormeau, La Monatine and Sous la Velle have a combined area of 1.07 hectares and are planted with 20-year-old Chardonnay , grapes from these four vineyards are used to blend dry white Burgundy wines.
