Aromas of pear, apple blossom, sweet citrus oil and nutmeg introduce the 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered wine built around ripe acids and chalky structuring extract. Once again, it's derived from Les Fairendes.
About the Producer
Domaine Bernard Moreau, based in Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy, has a rich history dating back to 1809. Now led by the talented young winemaker Alex Moreau, the domain follows a natural, non-interventionist approach in the vineyards and cellar. Known for its elegant, mineral-driven whites, the estate's most famous vineyard is the 0.35-hectare Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Grandes Rouchotes. Alex Moreau represents the new generation of Burgundian winemakers committed to quality and terroir expression.
