About the Producer
Founded in 2017, Domaine Agisson may be a young estate, but Jean-Philippe Agisson brings significant experience to the table. After 12 years as cellar master at Alphonse Mellot in Sancerre, he joined the renowned Domaine Didier Dagueneau as the lead winemaker in 2018, a role he continues to hold. Domaine Agisson initially occupied just one hectare in Sancerre, expanding to include half a hectare in Pouilly-Fumé starting in 2020. The estate practices organic farming with some biodynamic methods. Winemaking is straightforward, featuring hand harvesting, gentle pressing, and patient élevage in neutral barrels, allowing the wines to express their terroir fully.
