About the Producer
Sébastien Dampt is a rising star in the Chablis wine region. He comes from a long lineage of winemakers with over 150 years of experience. After studying in Beaune and gaining experience throughout France, Sébastien returned to work with his father and brother at the family domaine in 2005. In 2007, he established his own estate in Milly, located between the 1er Cru vineyards of Côte de Léchet and Vaillons in the southeast of Chablis. Sébastien's estate in Milly is surrounded by vineyards and equipped with state-of-the-art technology. The wines produced there, consisting of both Village and Premier Cru varieties, are fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve their fruity character and acidity. These wines are known for offering exceptional value in Chablis. Notably, Milly is one of the two places where Chablis premier cru Les Beugnons can be tasted. The terroir of Les Beugnons is characterized by chalky soil and is renowned for producing mineral-rich and concentrated wines. Sébastien Dampt started his own domaine in 2007, and he currently cultivates six hectares of vineyards, producing five different wines, including Petit Chablis, Chablis, and three premier crus: Vaillons, Côte de Léchet, and Les Beugnons.
